This is the Question! This is the Issue!! Long pending without any Resolution!!! Yes, at the bottom of the Society in South are the Casteless Parayas, particularly in the Northern Parts and Coastal Areas of Tamil Nadu though they are to be found almost all over the State. They don't hesitate to eat anything that come in their way! Rice Wheat Ragi Jowar Maize Millet, Roots Vegetables Leaves, Mushrooms, Fish Crabs Prawns, Dry-Fish and even Snails, Chikken other Poultry, Willd Birds and Games, Goat Cow Bull Buffalo Pigs live or dead! Same is the case with the other Casteless Pallas of the Southern Parts of Tamil Nadu, who used to live in a sort of symbiotic alliance with some criminal violent backward castes! But, adopting a little of the values of the exploitative caste-hindus, they claim to have given up for strange reasons Cow and Beef eating, even as they continue to eat the still lowly native Pigs! Similarly placed in an unenviable position are the poor landless agricultural workers - the Vanniyars who specilise as butchers who coolly slaughter Goats for Meat Shops, and have now taken to small trading and land based activities like brick-making, in Northern Parts of Tamil Nadu! And then are the violent landless and often homeless Kallans and their associates in the Southern Parts of Tamil Nadu, who now call themselves to have some respectability as Mukkulathors which literally stands for Three Community People, or as Thevars which Means God's People! They have slowly taken over the lands of the brahmins, leaving the area for a new life in Madras, Calcutta, Bombay, New Delhi and elsewhere in the Country and abroad! And silently they had moved into Politics, particularly in the Dravidian Parties like DMK and Anna-DMK!

These four Communities are bitter enemies and fight endlessly spilling lots of blood, and in vain killing many people in cold blood. Particularly this is so in the Southern Parts of Tamil Nadu where the Pallas the awakening outcastes, and Kallas live! Both are now engaged in bitter fight for self-respect and life with dignity, and for supermacy and social control. This particularly after the cunning brahmins have left the area, in the wake of the longdrawn strong non-brahmin movement, and also to reap the benefits of education employment and economic development in an awakening India! In the North, the much awakened but complacent Parayas, and the newly awakened politically sensitive Vanniyars are fighting it out in the Villages and rural areas! This in the form of, mostly one sided Caste-Violences by the caste hindu Vanniars against non-Caste or Casteless Parayas, living outside the Castes and Caste dominated Villages, but the greatest cruel and endless victims of the Caste System and Village Caste Politics!

In a Democracy, that too with fairly Regular Ellections, at least when they are inevitable due to Constitutional compulsions, Ellectoral Equations are expected to unleash forces that will ultimately loosen the unreasonable bindings, and also change the irrational actions and unreasonable behaviour of the Working Classes, in fighting endlessly and bitterly amongst themselves! Hence, We in SSC decided to look around to see and identify the tell-tale symptoms! However small they may be! However insignificant they may appear! Particularly in these Election Times, when a number significant States and Union Territories are expected to go for Regular Elections!

I. WHAT A DEMOCRACY?

Today there are News Reports that one of the Most Backward dark black feudal landlord, who can not even speak clearly and legibly, and a fair widely known brahmin woman who were at loggerheads for most of the time met and announced their coming together for Political Reasons, to face the Elections jointly, and fight Fundamental Forces!

a) ECONOMY IN A DEMOCRATIC INDIA

India is the Casteist Exploitative and Oppressive Nation! Caste to exploit and oppress! Caste to isolate all working classes! And Sub-Castes with in the Castes to keep the Working Classes divided in the dangerous game of oppressing very large segments of the Society! Caste to Exploit the Working Classes for their Produce, Creations and Labour! Caste to isolate Native Races! Caste to keep the Natives away from the Women of the Dominant Castes! Caste to capture and forcibly take away the Native Women due to non-availability of Women amongst the Dominant Castes! Caste for Economic Advantage! Caste for Political Control! Caste for unreasonable Reasons! Can these continue in a Free Independant Democracy and Republican Form of Govt, that too after accepting publicly for the first-time to a Rule of Law, based on Equality of all before the Law!

In a Democratic framework of a Republican Govt in an Independant Nation that is not free from international pressures and influences, open to international monitoring, erstwhile exploitative oppressive life styles are not that very easy anymore! Hence, even the cunning elusive and subversive brahmins have to find new forms of survival and new ways of life - even though they still want to and continue to live with out working, at least without straining themselves physically, and yet want to live easy and prefer a comfortable life - even if that means a mean indecent unfair life! Afterall their lives always have been unfair in most respects!

There in the South, where not much of Social and Political Upheavels have taken place, not many of the Foreign Intruders into the Country had set foot, not much of Economic Disturbances had occured, Caste-System in its crudest form, exploitation with a worst face, oppression in a cruel and criminal way existed, and suppression was most discreet and sophisticated, brahmin women have openly come out in public to sing dance act and prostitute, all in sophisticated style! They do these rather boldly, justifying themselves and their acts in the name of individual freedom, personal emancipation, women's liberation and sexual assertion or revolution! And they are increasingly getting into politics cinema and even become a Chief Minister! This when the brahmins as a community has lost miserably but rightly their erstwhile political domination and powers! This Women's Power is the new strategy of brahmin's future in the Country - through Education, Singing, Dancing, Acting, Cinema, Politics and Control of the Vulnerable Men of other Castes and Out-Castes!

b) THE FALL OF THE FEUDAL

A Feudal, very big landlord, holding on to huge tracts of own and community land, rather illegally for the last near fifty years, an arrogant man whose family entered into Politics to save and preserve their hold on the large land areas, had now fallen down. Yes, he had fallen down miserably much below his terrible dreams! Beneath his bottom! He, that dark black crude man who could never speak clearly and legibly, and who called a dancing acting brahmin woman CM as one who would come to his house to dance before him, if he throws money, had gone before that very same ex-dancer, miserably with folded hands, to talk about seat sharing and political survival! All for a few seats!

He who played big politics, claimed himself a Political Heavyweight, King Maker at the National Level, dreamt of becoming a backward caste Chief Minister of the State, had also briefly once entertained the desire and hope of becoming the Prime Minister of the Country in the confused milleau of the National Politics, had gone down before the brahmin woman, like a tall pygmy! What a fall! What a Fall!! Pity!!!

THE POLITICS! THE DEMOCRACY!! THE ELECTIONS!!! AND THE BIG QUESTION!!!!

The fall of the Feudal! And before that the degradation of the brahmin woman! And even before that the collapse of the brahmin power!

That is Politics! And that is Democracy!! The Elections are a great leveller!!! Yes, this is so even in a Casteist Exploitative and Oppressive Nation, that is India! But, what are We SC&ST Dalits doing? Are We aware? Are We alive? Are We awakened? Are We conscious? Are We vigilant? Are We playing our role? Are We bargaining? Are We sensitive to feel the pulse? Are We bold to plunge and fish for the right catch? Or are We going to let go off the opportunities once again?

If only the Out-Castes, and the enslaved Castes of the Backwrad Classes can come together and join hands by themselves, at least for Electoral Politics, no Force in this Country, no running brahmin, no retreating kshatriya, no fading baniya, and no clinging kayasth can continue to remain in power, or touch the Dalit-Backward Combine! If they are honest sincere faithful and mean business, at least for survival, no scheming and manipulation by the dominant castes can ever shake them, unlike in Uttar Pradesh!

When will this happen?

THAT IS THE QUESTIO.N!

Our SC&ST Dalit Politicians, almost all of them, had strayed away from this longterm Goal of bringing together the persecuted Ati-Shudra SC&ST Dalits, and the oppressed Shudra OBCs! Some of them had somewhere on the way of their progress from being SC&ST Political Leaders for common good, to becoming National Leaders of their own brands for selfish benefits and personal ends, have given up this Objective, which was in many ways their own cherished Goals during the times of their Political Evolution as SC&ST Dalit Leaders! And the Leaders of Shudra OBCs also should share a large part of the blame in not ensuring or cementing at least a working relationship or a Political SC&ST Dalit and OBC Front for Common Good! This of course is sad! But what is sadder is the unnecesarry stirrings by the 'allknowing' opportunist Educated SC&ST selfish elements, who want to cash some fish for themselves, or capitalise in some form or other from the mess all around us now!
